RC ARGONET Supports BiH Municipalities in EU Green Deal Alignment

As part of our ongoing commitment to EU integration, RC ARGONET has launched a new advisory programme helping municipalities across Bosnia and Herzegovina align their local development strategies with the EU Green Deal framework.

This ambitious initiative is designed to provide local administrations with the technical expertise and strategic guidance necessary to navigate the complexities of the green transition. By focusing on sustainable practices at the municipal level, we are laying the groundwork for long-term environmental and economic resilience.

Programme Focus Areas

The advisory programme covers several critical pillars of the EU Green Deal:

• Sustainable Land Use: Strategies for planning and managing agricultural and urban land to preserve biodiversity and ecosystem services.
• Waste Reduction Targets: Implementing circular economy principles to minimize waste generation and increase recycling rates in local communities.
• Renewable Energy Transition: Developing pathways for municipalities to increase their share of clean energy and improve overall energy efficiency.
• Climate Adaptation: Tools for assessing local climate risks and developing robust adaptation plans.

Through a series of capacity-building workshops and practical toolkits, RC ARGONET is empowering local leaders to turn policy into practice.
