Conclusions from the Coordination Meeting of Plum and Other Fruit Producers and Exporters in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Representatives of relevant ministries, producers, and exporters met in Gradačac to agree on key conclusions and urgent actions regarding seasonal protective pricing, trade measures with the EU, and support mechanisms for mitigating losses in the fruit and vegetable export sector.
Plum – the “Forgotten” Potential
Despite excellent agro-ecological conditions, tradition, and recognised quality on EU and Russian markets, plum production in Bosnia and Herzegovina faces challenges due to outdated practices, plant diseases, production volatility, and EU protective pricing measures that limit export growth.
