Announcement: Urban Agriculture Open Day in Banja Luka
The Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Banja Luka, in cooperation with the General Agricultural Cooperative “Sunčani Brijeg,” is organizing an Open Day dedicated to urban agriculture.
The event will be held on September 25th at 11:00 AM within the University Campus in Banja Luka. This activity is part of the Local Partnership for Employment Project, aimed at promoting local products from project beneficiaries and cooperative members.
The Concept of Urban Agriculture
The focus of the event is the “Urban Agriculture” project, which aims to develop and implement urban farming as a model for employment. Urban agriculture involves the cultivation, processing, and distribution of food within or near populated areas, contributing to:
- Local food production and food security.
- Creation of new employment opportunities.
- Sustainable community development.
